ESD would like to welcome Phil Mosley as ESD’s next Director of Sports Performance. Mosley brings over 8 years of experience from the high school and collegiate levels to ESD after spending the last 3 as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at the Kinkaid School in Houston, TX.
After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, Mosley started coaching at the collegiate level at Vanderbilt University, where he served as an intern with the Men’s Basketball program. During his time in Nashville, TN, Mosley also earned a Master’s in Sport Administration from Belmont University while also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He made his way back across the country with a stop at the University of Houston where he worked with the Olympic Sports programs before joining the Kinkaid School.
“Phil is passionate about cultivating relationships and has a great reputation among his peers, coaches and the student-athletes he has previously served. The versatility of his background and obvious passion for strength and conditioning will be contagious with our student-athletes in every sport,” said Dan Gill, Director of Athletics. “He articulated a thoughtful, but flexible approach to sports performance that made a very positive impression on the hiring committee for this most important position.“
Mosley is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting, and a member of the National High School Strength Coaches Association.
