Alumni Homecoming Tailgate
Join us for our annual Alumni Homecoming Tailgate on Friday, September 25, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at ESD! Return to the nest for one of our most treasured school traditions, our annual Homecoming football game.
Don’t miss the opportunity to reconnect with friends and former teachers, along with hearing updates on ESD and our Alumni Association from our Head of School, Dave Baad, and Alumni Board President, Matt Ornstein ’13!
Looking to bring the family? Our annual ESD Community Picnic is happening at the same time, so there will be plenty of activities for your kids to enjoy!
Food and drinks will be served at the tailgate before you head over to the Homecoming football game, along with a sweet treat from the ESD Alumni Association!

Alumni Admission Coffee
Interested in learning more about the admission process at ESD? Join us for an informational Alumni Admission Coffee, hosted by Cindy Newsom, ESD's Director of Enrollment Management, and Rachael Bingham, Associate Director of Admission. The coffee is an opportunity for our alumni community to learn more about the admission process at ESD. Cindy and Rachael will lead an insightful discussion covering:
- Current enrollment facts and stats
- Application requirements and timelines
- Key dates for 2026-27 admission events
- Our admission policy for alumni families
- Tuition assistance
The admission coffee will be held on campus in the North Dining Room of the Daryl Johnston Family Dining Commons from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30. If you are unable to attend in person, there will be an option to join via Zoom. Spouses and significant others are welcome to join, whether in person or online.

Dedman Lecture
The Dedman Lecture: A Conversation with Three ESD Alumni Honored as People Newspapers’ 2026 20 Under 40
The Dedman Lecture Series gives ESD upperclassmen the chance to hear firsthand from individuals about how their life experiences have shaped them and led them to where they are today. This year, that conversation features three ESD alumni who were recently named to People Newspapers’ 2026 20 Under 40 — an annual recognition of young professionals making a lasting impact across the DFW area.
RSVP to join us for the conversation on Wednesday, October 7, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at ESD, and hear how each of these ESD alumni turned formative experiences into thriving careers and meaningful community impact — and what advice they have for the next generation of Eagles.
Eagles Real Estate Club
Join us for our October Eagles Real Estate Club!
Established in 2021, the Eagles Real Estate Club hosts quarterly meetings to connect ESD alumni and parents working in the real estate industry. Hosted by Emma Cabrales ‘18, Trey Scardino ’16, Stephen Swann ’93 P’24,’27,’29, and Libby Laughlin Wood ‘15, the goal of the club is to bring together the ESD community for networking and future business opportunities.
Join the club for its October networking breakfast on Thursday, October 22, from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the North Dining Room in the Daryl Johnston Family Dining Commons at ESD. The club is pleased to feature Haynes Strader P’39,’41, Chief Development Officer at Skybox Datacenters, as its keynote speaker. He will present on data center development.
