Culture + Community Celebration

Join us for a special celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with alumna Luisa Navarro '08 at ESD on Thursday, September 18, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. In honor of Mexican culture and Día de Muertos, Luisa will be signing copies of her debut book, Mexico's Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Life Through Stories and Photos.
Luisa is a Mexican-American storyteller and creator of the blog and lifestyle brand, Mexico In My Pocket. A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, she worked as a producer for major network news before opening her beautiful gift shop in the Caroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with Luisa, learn more about Día de Muertos, and celebrate her incredible accomplishment. Signed copies of Mexico’s Day of the Dead will be available for purchase, along with a special gift from Cocoandré, Chocolatier & Horchateria.

The admission coffee will be held in the North Dining Room of the Daryl Johnston Family Dining Commons from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25. If you are unable to attend in person, there will be an option to join via Zoom. Spouses and significant others are welcome, either in person or online.
