| How will ESD communicate with me? |
|
Every Monday (or the first day of the school week) during the school year, you will receive an email with the subject line "ESD News You Can Use." It will be sent from The Episcopal School of Dallas. Additionally, parents will receive a monthly newsletter from the ESD Parents' Association detailing PA-hosted events. Parents can expect to receive this newsletter on the last Sunday of every month. Please read these emails closely each week for important community-wide and grade-level-specific information. These emails can also be found in your MyESD parent portal by clicking the envelope in the upper right corner of your screen. If you are not receiving these emails and have checked your spam folder, please contact parentsupport@esdallas.org. |

Our new family liaison is the first point of contact for all new families with any questions about ESD’s lower school (curriculum, schedules, conferences, parking, chapel, carpool, etc.). May 20, 2026, is the deadline to submit the lifetime immunization record. (New families only) August 1, 2026, is the deadline to submit all supplemental medical forms, including annual physicals. Students cannot access campus for sports practices, orientations, or Eagle Camps until all medical records have been received. All medical records and forms must be submitted through Magnus Health through your MyESD parent portal. Login to MyESD, scroll down to the Resources section and click Student Health Forms (Magnus). We cannot accept forms sent directly to the school. My ESD Parent Portal Login to Access Magnus Health Magnus Health is the provider of our secure web-based electronic medical record system, and your child’s health records will be initiated online. This information is HIPAA and FERPA-protected and is unique to each student. |

| "Move Up" Parent Meetings |
|---|
|
Move Up meetings with middle school leadership are a great opportunity for both new and returning families to learn about their students' next academic year. Discussions will cover academic courses, electives, grade-level trips, and developmental milestones. Meetings are on campus, in the Susan M. Frank Arts & Humanities, Bell Theater on the second floor.

Shopping OpportunitiesA limited number of uniform pieces may be available for purchase at the ESDPA Uniform Resale Shop. P.E. Uniforms Any unaltered ESD shirt purchased from the Eagles Nest Campus Store or the Uniform Resale Shop can be worn for PE. Tank tops and torso-bearing shirts are not allowed. Any school-appropriate navy shorts or athletic pants that provide adequate coverage during physical activity are allowed. No skorts, skirts, or butterfly shorts. Fifth-grade students do not change for PE and will not require a PE uniform.

Questions? Please reach out to parentsupport@esdallas.org. Online Buyback Families may be able to recoup some of the costs of textbooks by utilizing the BNC Online Buyback Program, which is available for qualifying books using school code 4100. Starting a week before the end of classes, students will receive buyback notices from BNC that list the books they have purchased from the online bookstore and the sellback price for each. Students can also sell back titles to us that they acquired elsewhere. |
| Chromebooks |
|
All middle school students are issued a school-managed Chromebook, covered by a four-year accidental-damage warranty. The cost of the Chromebook is included in tuition. For more information on our Chromebook program, please see the middle school handbook in your MyESD Parent Portal. |
| School Supplies |
|
Basic school supplies like pencils, pens, folders, etc., are included in tuition and issued to students during orientation. If additional supplies are needed for a specific course, teachers will contact parents. All students are encouraged to have a backpack and a reusable water bottle. The Eagles Nest carries additional supplies as well. |

As members of the council, you are servant leaders on campus and within the community. Members go above and beyond leading other students in service opportunities and raising awareness within their school and community of current needs.
