Grandparents Day allows grandparents a glimpse into their grandchild’s school environment and showcases the programs and educational opportunities students experience.

Lower School Grandparents Day (Beginner–Grade 4) | April 2, 2027
  • Invitations and RSVPs will be mailed in March 2027 to Lower School grandparents for the upcoming Lower School Grandparents Day on April 2, 2027. 

 

Grandparents Day FAQs

What is the attire?

Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate attire are encouraged because guests will be walking around the campus and within buildings. Elevators are also available for those who need assistance.
Can students arrive with grandparents?

Students should arrive in carpool at their regular morning drop-off time. 
When should grandparents arrive?
  • Middle School: Please arrive between 9:40 – 10:00 a.m. to allow for valet parking and proceed to Stephen B. Swann Athletic and Wellness Center Atrium. 
  • Upper School: Please arrive between 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. and proceed to All Saints Chapel to find a seat. 
When/where will I meet my grandchild/grandchildren?
  • Middle School: Upon arrival, you will enter the Stephen B. Swann Athletic and Wellness Center, where you will be met by a volunteer who will take your grandchild/grandchildren's name(s). Starting at 10:00 a.m., the students will be released to meet you in the Atrium.
  • Upper School: Upon arrival, proceed to All Saints Chapel to find a seat. Your grandchild/grandchildren will meet you there.
Can grandparents get dropped off instead of using valet?

Valet is preferred; drop-off is available for those with mobility concerns or using a rideshare option. 
I need physical assistance. Can a family member stay with me to help?

Absolutely. We also have elevators available for assistance. 
If students don’t have a grandparent attending, should they still come to school?

Yes! It's a school day, and we're prepared with lessons to keep students actively engaged with learning.
When can I take a photograph with my grandchild/grandchildren?

The photo station will remain open the entirety of the program, so there will be plenty of time to take a photo with your grandchild/grandchildren. The photographer will not close until everyone’s picture is taken.
