The Sports Fellowship Program promotes inclusivity and encourages students in Pre-K through Sixth Grade to participate in team sports. |
Founded in 2014, Sports Fellowship seeks to develop fundamental skills and foster sportsmanship among our students. Athletic involvement can help build strong character by teaching the virtues of honor, respect, and integrity, values we strive to instill in each ESD student. Teams are coached by parent volunteers and supported by ESD's Sports Fellowship Coordinator. |

Registration for YMCA Sports Fellowship Programs enrolls three times per year in the fall, winter, and spring. ESD families can choose athletics programs from both the Semones Family (Town North) YMCA and the Moody Family (Park Cities) YMCA. Registration information is shared with families in News You Can Use (ESD’s parent newsletter) and via emails from Coach Jane DeGrenier, Sports Fellowship Program Coordinator. YMCA uniforms can be purchased from Team Sports.

| Spring Valley Athletic Association (SVAA) | ||

Registration for Sports Fellowship Programs enrolls three times per year in the fall, winter, and spring. Some ESD families opt to participate through the Spring Valley Athletic Association (SVAA), instead of the YMCA. SVAA offers several sports, including volleyball, flag football, tackle football, and 7v7 football. Registration information is shared with families in News You Can Use (ESD’s parent newsletter) and via emails from Coach Jane DeGrenier, Sports Fellowship Program Coordinator. |

Take your game to the next level! Designed for students in grades 4-6, this field hockey clinic helps players build fundamental skills, improve game strategy, and develop confidence in a fun, team-oriented environment. Whether you're new to the sport or looking to sharpen your abilities, this program offers quality instruction and exciting drills, with weekly scrimmages against local schools to put skills into action. Join us to compete, grow, and experience the excitement of field hockey!

| How do I register? |

| Parents receive registration information in emails from Jane DeGrenier, Sports Fellowship Coordinator. Registration takes place three times per year for Fall, Winter, and Spring sports. Information will also be provided in the weekly parent newsletter, "News You Can Use." |
| How many practices are there per week? |
| There is typically one practice per week, determined by the volunteer coach. |
| Where are the games played? |
| Games are played at the Moody YMCA, HPISD schools, local gyms, or other YMCA or SVAA locations. |
| Can parents volunteer to coach? |
| Yes. Parents can express their interest in volunteering to coach by completing the registration form for their child. |
| What if there is no volunteer coach? |
|
If there is no volunteer coach for the grade level, parents are responsible for recruiting a volunteer. ESD does not provide a coach. |
| What happens if I miss the ESD sign-up deadline? |
| If you miss the ESD sign-up deadline, please contact the grade-level volunteer coach to be added to the ESD roster. |
| How will I receive information about games, practices, etc.? |
| Once ESD rosters are sent via email, ALL team communication regarding practice and games is facilitated by and through the volunteer coach. |
| Where do I purchase the uniforms? |
| Uniforms can be purchased through Team Sports located at Forest and Inwood. |
| When should I register for the team and purchase the uniform? |
| Please wait until rosters are finalized and sent out before registering for your YMCA team or purchasing a uniform, as the YMCA location is determined by the number of students signed up. |
