Welcoming New Middle School Faculty for the 2026–27 School Year

As we prepare to welcome our Middle School Eagles back to the Nest, we're excited to introduce the educators joining the Middle School team for the 2026-27 school year. This year's group includes both familiar faces stepping into new roles and new members of the ESD community, each bringing experiences and perspectives that will enrich the Middle School experience.

Mrs. Marcia Biggs, RN is stepping into the classroom as ESD’s new Middle School Health Teacher and Seventh Grade Advisor after more than two decades of caring for the health and well-being of ESD students as the Middle and Upper School Nurse. Since joining ESD in 2001, Mrs. Biggs has developed a deep understanding of the community, student wellness and adolescent development—experience she now brings to her new role. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mrs. Biggs is also a familiar face on Middle School overnight trips, where she provides exceptional medical care and, famously, keeps faculty members caffeinated with her trusty coffee kit.
Mr. Bryan Davis joins ESD as the new Middle School Design Lab Teacher and Eighth Grade Advisor, bringing nearly two decades of experience in engineering, technology and STEM education. Most recently, Mr. Davis served as a Project Lead The Way Aerospace Engineering Instructor and STEM Lab Facilitator at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning in Keller ISD. His background in design-based learning and hands-on instruction will be a natural fit for ESD’s Design Lab, where he looks forward to encouraging students to explore, problem-solve and innovate. Outside the classroom, Mr. Davis has a lifelong passion for aviation and is also an accomplished musician who plays the trombone.
Mrs. Temple Taylor is bringing her musical talents and vibrant energy to Middle School as the new Choir Director and Fifth Grade Advisor. Mrs. Taylor has been a valued member of the ESD community since 2023, when she joined the Lower School as its music teacher. Before coming to ESD, she spent more than a decade teaching music in Richardson ISD and has directed numerous children’s and youth choirs throughout her career. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in music education, Mrs. Taylor is excited to help Middle School students find their confidence and harmony through music. Outside of school, she and her family co-own and operate a working cattle ranch.
Mr. Jason McCleod joins ESD as a Middle School Permanent Substitute and Middle and Varsity Football Coach, bringing experience in the classroom, on the field and in school leadership. Mr. McCleod comes to ESD from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, where he taught English and History and coached football. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also played collegiate football, Mr. McCleod brings a deep appreciation for teamwork, leadership and student-athlete mentorship to his new role. He looks forward to supporting students throughout the school day while also helping build community on the football field.
