August 26 - ESD Faculty Art Show Gallery Opens |

Sabbatical Works, the upcoming art show featuring artwork by ESD faculty members, opens on August 26 and will run through October 3. A reception celebrating the gallery will be held on September 25, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Jennifer and John Eagle Gallery. Be sure to check it out and support the work of our ESD faculty members! |
August 27 - First Eucharist |
Upper school students will wear their formal uniform for First Eucharist in All Saints Chapel. |
August 27 - Fall Sports Team Custom Orders Deadline |
The fall sports team stores are now open through the Eagles Nest! The order deadline for all custom apparel and spirit items (team hoodies, yard signs, locker signs, etc.) is Wednesday, August 27. Questions? Please contact April Cook at cooka@esdallas.org. |
August 29 - Dads' Partnership All Family BBQ (6:00 p.m.) |
The BBQ is a great way to reconnect after the summer break and for current dads to welcome the new dads to our community. The All Family BBQ will be on Friday, August 29, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Jones Family Stadium at the new Parents' Association Plaza. The varsity football game will follow the BBQ at 7:00 p.m. |

September 10 - Uniform Resale Shop Open (8:00 - 10:00 a.m.) |
The Uniform Resale Shop has moved! It is now located at 4036 Montwood Lane (please enter through the driveway). The shop will be open from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on September 10. |
September 10 - ESDPA Speaker Series: Jennifer Breheny Wallace |
Join us for an engaging presentation by Jennifer Breheny Wallace, author of Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic—and What We Can Do About It. This year's ESDPA Speaker Series will be held on September 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bray Theater. |

Back-to-School Night is an excellent opportunity for upper school parents to meet different resource groups around campus, ask questions, and meet their child's teachers. Let's get ready for school! |

Grandparents Day: Address Confirmation Needed |

We can’t wait to see middle school and grades 9 and 12 Grandparents on campus in November. Save the Dates will be mailed the first week of September. To ensure your student’s grandparent receives the mailer, please confirm their physical mailing address and email address in your Veracross parent portal by clicking “Update Family Information” in the Parent Resources section by this Friday. Details coming soon at esdallas.org/events. |
2026 Summer Trip to Explore France |
For those who have expressed interest in the France 2026 Summer Trip to explore Paris, Strasbourg, and Brussels, review some important information below: We will visit Paris, Brussels, and Strasbourg from June 6-14, 2026, leaving on Saturday, June 6, and returning on Sunday, June 14. This is an ESD-sponsored trip where students will have the opportunity to visit cultural sites in all three cities and to apply the lessons from their French, History, and Government classrooms in the real world, participating in two public policy simulations. Students must be in good academic and behavioral standing with the school. At this time, you can either: (1) place your $500 deposit to formally secure your spot on this trip, or (2) officially express your intent to place the deposit on the July 15, 2025 date (which is per ESD to fall on the next fiscal year) by filling out the Google Form using the below buttons. IMPORTANT: Community Service Learning Update |
We have made changes to our current service learning program graduation requirements. SOme of these changes include:

NEW: SAGE Coffee Bar |
SAGE has partnered with ESD to provide espresso drinks, frappes, and smoothies during breakfast! You will need to have your ID Badge to purchase a drinkc. Please make sure to have enough time to get your beverage and arrive at class on time; the cutoff for drinks will be 8:45 a.m. for students. The coffee bar will currently serve Upper School and Faculty/Staff! |
