| November 10 - Launch of Campus Safety Alert System | ||
|
ESD is proud to launch the Centegix Crisis Alert System, a discreet safety tool for faculty and staff that enables immediate on-campus assistance in any emergency. The new system is simple, non-invasive, and part of the school’s broader effort to ensure that every student and employee continues to feel safe and supported. The Centegix badge will be worn by all faculty and staff members, allowing them to immediately call for emergency help and dispatch the closest emergency responders. We hope you will join us on January 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Meeting for more information on Centegix. |

| November 10-December 12 - Eagles Lacrosse Club Team Registration is Open | ||

The Eagles Lacrosse club team organization is a parent-run, non-profit developmental program. After a great fall 2025 season, we are preparing quickly for the 2026 spring season. Registration is now open until December 12, 2025. We have this deadline for league registration and to place uniform orders. Here are a few important details: First - Sixth Grade (Spring Season) will start practice on January 24 and will have practice/games on Saturday and Sunday until the last weekend of April. Our Pockets program (PK, K, Primer) will start after winter break and run for about 10 weeks. Since we are ordering new uniforms for everyone, here are the registration details you need to complete. Each group has at least two to complete. Reminder, you must be a student of The Episcopal School of Dallas to participate in Eagles Lacrosse, as this is part of the ESD Fellowship Program.

| November 11 - Chaplain's Corner: Veterans' Day Chapel | ||
|
We will honor veterans during our time of daily worship on Tuesday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m. for a special Veterans' Day Chapel. As the daughter of Veterans, I have known all my life the commitment and sacrifice our Veterans embody. If a member of your students’ family is a Veteran, we welcome them to attend our Chapel service on that morning. Please email me at luct@esdallas.org and let me know ahead of time so we can arrange seating. If they are unable to attend, please submit their name, rank, and branch of service, so that we can honor them in absentia. |

Pondering Purpose and Impact
Our ninth graders heard from several local nonprofits during their Special Programming Day last month, then reflected on the connections between their values and interests and the impact of their community service. The majority of ninth graders reported that hands-on service projects, projects they believe in, and projects that fit their strengths provide the greatest opportunity for them to impact their community.
Pause and Ponder: Increasing the Impact of Community Service
- For younger children: What do you like to do? What are you good at doing? How can you use these skills to help others?
- For older children, teenagers, and adults: What type of service do you enjoy participating in? Which service organizations do you admire and believe make a difference in our community? How can you seek out opportunities to serve that support these organizations and reflect your interests and strengths?
