The Strader Family Supports Mission of The Episcopal School of Dallas - The Episcopal School of Dallas | Best Private Schools in Dallas

October 6, 2025

The Episcopal School of Dallas is pleased to announce a meaningful gift from Christine and Haynes Strader to establish the Strader Family Endowment, an unrestricted endowment fund. This generous contribution will provide flexible, long-term support for the school's highest-priority needs, enabling ESD to continue cultivating a community of young leaders.

The Straders were inspired to support ESD's mission after seeing firsthand the school’s dedication to developing students who are not only intelligent but also capable and service-oriented. Mr. Strader’s company hosted two students through the ESD WORX program, an experience that demonstrated to them the strength of the school's programs and the quality of its students.

“We need more leaders who want to make the world a better place, and it's clear that ESD has built an environment that enables children to learn, grow, and aspire to serve the greater good,” stated Haynes. The couple added, “We trust the leadership, teachers, and staff at ESD have a strong vision for cultivating a community of young leaders and doers.”

The family chose to give to the endowment because they were impressed by the school's commitment to its Episcopal values and have full confidence in the administration’s ability to allocate funds effectively. The unrestricted nature of their gift will give ESD the flexibility to invest in the areas where it can have the greatest impact.

When asked what advice they would give to others considering an endowment gift, Christine and Haynes noted the deeply personal nature of giving. “Giving to ESD is a natural extension of the investment we make in our family every day,” they said. “We want to empower great institutions like ESD to be an incredible school for our family and the hundreds of others it serves.”

The Strader’s gift represents a sincere commitment to the future of The Episcopal School of Dallas and ensuring the school continues to fulfill its mission “igniting lives of purpose” for generations to come.

Our Time to Soar - a Campaign for The Episcopal School of Dallas is inspired by the strategic plan ESD 2030, which aims to add significantly to the school’s endowment, all as further investment in ESD’s people and programs. To date, the ESD community is responding in incredibly generous ways, and we are well along the path to a successful $50,000,000 campaign.
