Ignite Series (MS FLEX) - Episode 1
January 23, 2026
Last semester, our Middle School Faculty and Staff partnered with ESDistinction Network Coordinators to bring real-world, interdisciplinary learning to our Middle School Eagles through the FLEX “Ignite” Series.
Across grade levels, students engaged in hands-on projects that connected academic concepts to real-world application - participating in mock trials, developing and pitching original business ideas, transforming advisory values into stained-glass designs, and engineering rollercoasters grounded in math and physics principles.
This season’s line-up features:
Fifth Grade | Justice on Olympus - a mock trial exploring leadership, government, and public policy
Sixth Grade | The Purposeful Pitch - student-designed business proposals addressing community needs
Seventh Grade | Values in Living Color - values expressed through 2D art and design
Eighth Grade | Thrills by Design - student-built rollercoasters informed by engineering and physics
In Middle School slange, a “flex” is all about showing off your skills and successes with confidence. This Introductory Trailer is the first of a 5-part series proving that when it comes to ESDistinction, our students have plenty to brag about!
