Senior Arya Ajith '26 continues to make a profound impact beyond our campus, recently making headlines for her extraordinary international service project, Hope in Hygiene. Inspired by a trip to Belize through the U.S. State Department Youth Ambassadors program, Arya recognized a need for better hygiene education in the community and immediately took action, developing a comic-style educational pamphlet to teach children healthy habits. Her initiative didn't stop there; she also spearheaded a Bundles for Belize Drive that collected over 3,000 reusable items—including backpacks and water bottles—to accompany the distribution of the 500 printed pamphlets.

This impressive effort is a shining example of student-led advocacy and global citizenship, even earning the support of Olympic figure skater and former U.S. Ambassador to Belize Michelle Kwan. Arya is already planning to adapt and expand Hope in Hygiene to other countries, starting with Tamil Nadu, India. We are incredibly proud of Arya's mission-driven work and her commitment to turning knowledge into tangible solutions for others!
