What inspired you to make a gift to The Episcopal School of Dallas?

My years at ESD shaped me in countless ways—academically, spiritually, and personally. It was more than just a school; it was a second home. The close-knit, family-like environment created a sense of belonging and support that left a lasting impact on me. Giving back felt like a natural extension of my gratitude for the foundation ESD gave me. It’s a way to say thank you—and to help ensure future students experience that same sense of purpose and possibility.

What appealed to you about giving to endowment?

Endowment gifts are all about longevity and legacy. I loved the idea that our contribution could grow over time and continue to support ESD for generations to come. Knowing that we are investing in the school’s future made it feel especially meaningful.

Thinking of the purpose of your endowment fund, why is this of importance to you?

Great teachers are the foundation of a strong education. They prepare students not just for exams, but for life beyond the classroom. This fund is a way to support and recognize the educators who help shape confident, capable individuals ready for the next chapter.

What advice would you offer to inspire others to consider establishing an endowment fund?

ESD gave me an outstanding education that prepared me for every stage of life after graduation, along with lifelong friendships, mentors, and a strong moral foundation. Giving back is my way of helping ensure future students have the same opportunities to learn, grow, and be ready for whatever comes next. Investing in an endowment is a way to honor a connection and create a lasting impact. It’s about taking a step toward something that reflects your values and your hopes for future generations.
