| March 17 - Sign Up to Host a WORX Program Intern Deadline |
|
Since 2013, the Eastin Family WORX Internship Program has been a cornerstone of the ESD experience, providing over 700 students with vital career awareness and professional development. As we look toward summer 2026, we invite our network of WORX Partner companies to help us reach our goal of 100% internship placement for our rising seniors. By hosting an intern, you offer a student the chance to gain hands-on experience that will impact their future. WORX internships are designed to be highly flexible to fit your business needs, typically lasting two weeks with options for in-person, remote, or hybrid formats. This program is a collaborative community effort supported by the Dads’ Partnership, College Guidance, and the Alumni Association. Your support is what makes these life-changing opportunities possible, helping to shape the next generation of leaders at ESD. If you are interested in learning more about the WORX Program and how your company can become a WORX Partner and host an ESD student as an intern this summer, please complete the sign-up form today! If you have any questions, please reach out to Asia Hawkins '13 (hawkinsa@esdallas.org) for more information! Quick Program Facts for Partners:

Pondering Purpose and Impact
Adam Grant, author of Hidden Potential, explains, “It’s hard to predict where you can have the most impact. It’s easier to gauge where you can have a unique impact. The question is not what the world needs. It’s where you have a rare gift to give. The most meaningful contribution is the one few others can make.”
Pause and Ponder: Your Unique Impact
- For younger students: Think about your class at school and how you help others. If you are absent for one day, how will your class be different? What will your friends notice is missing that day?
- For older children, teenagers, and adults: What sets you apart from your classmates and friends? What unique talent, perspective, experience, or strength can you share with others? What if you viewed your purpose as seeking opportunities to use your unique gifts and talents to positively impact others?
