Both middle and upper school factually are playing in a heated ping pong tournament! They have a bracket set up and the final is between Mr. Gauge (8th grade science) and Mr. Bergez (8th grade English and history).
The Asian Society Club organized a ping pong championship throughout the whole high school. Each grade competed against their classmates on a school wide bracket. Everybody loves ping pong, so it was a fun way to get the whole school involved in a common interest!

Wolf Run is a part of the ESD's outdoor education program. Students come to Wolf Run throughout their ESD experience doing various activities such as hiking, learning about the history of the ranch, and cooking. We can't wait to take trips to Wolf Run when it gets warmer soon!

ESD get's their first sight of snow in two years. Around lunch time on Friday, flurries started to fall from the sky and by the end of the day, the grounds were covered in white snow. This day was enjoyable for the student body because there was no snow at all last year. The continuous snow did not cancel school, but ended up cancelling the men's basketball game scheduled to be played that night.
On Friday, it started snowing during our lunch and flex period. We were able to stay outside and enjoy our free time in the snow. It was so exciting to see snow for the first time this school year!

The ESD holiday spirit is spread to the St. Phillips community with these boxes that were composed by ESD students. Filled with food items that will come together and make a Christmas meal for the community members, the boxes were designed with care to spread Christmas cheer!

With the Holidays approaching, the school celebrated their tradition of Lessons and Carols, coming together as a school community and enjoying the Christmas season. This tradition brings us closer together to present our skills and appreciate the coming of Christ.
Today, every student in middle and upper school met in the Competition Gym to take part in our annual Lessons and Carols Ceremony. This service takes place around Christmas time and we sing different carols and teachers and students read lessons from the Bible. It has been going on since I started here at ESD and it is one of my favorite traditions!

Today is the Admissions Preview! One of the biggest events the admissions office puts in all year to help give interested families a taste of the school. As ambassadors, we helped greet and give tours to the families.
Today, we hosted our annual Admissions Preview and we got the privilege to show prospective families around the campus and explore coming to ESD. It was really fun to meet everyone and show them our favorite parts of the school.
