The Eagle Edition was published this morning and all around campus you can find people reading them! Pictured here is a group of sophomore girls reading the paper. The Eagle Edition is the school newspaper that is published about once a month. It consists of four main sections: school news, student life, sports updates, and opinions about certain topics from students. Everyone at ESD loves reading the paper and it really helps unify the school!

This evening, ESD Dance is having their Holiday Performance at 6:00 p.m. in the Bray Performance Hall. Some of the Middle and Upper School dancers had such a fun time advertising for the show and giving out donuts in carpool today! We are so glad that ESD has a dance program that allows us to expand our dance skills for beginning and advanced dancers.

Here at ESD, the library serves as a place to study, research, or to just have some quiet time. You will find people here in the morning, breaks, study halls, and after school. I tend to come here in the mornings when I want to get ahead on some school work or do some studying before a test!

Fifth grade girls (and boys!) helped stuff and make dolls today after lunch for the Dolls for the Hobby Crafters organization. ESD has been committed to the Hobby Crafters Dolls Project for a few years now. The dolls are made and delivered to children across the DFW area. The U.S. nurse says she volunteers at Children's Hospital and witnessed some of the patients receiving these very dolls. It was nice to hear how things come full circle with projects like this! We are able to make about 250 dolls each year.

Birthdays are a big deal at ESD. You get birthday blessings during Chapel, sweet treats for your Advisory during lunch and sometimes your buddies even decorate your locker! Happy Birthday Parker! (Class of '24)

The Middle School choir sang in Chapel yesterday. This week's message was the "Week of Wonder" as the movie version of the book Wonder opens on our first day of Thanksgiving break. We wonder everyday in our Chapel time about who we are, our place in this diverse and dynamic world, and how to best use our gifts to help our neighbors. As we enter into Thanksgiving break may our hearts and minds be full of gratitude to God for all our blessings, beginning with the community we share and our common work for the growth of our students.
