You won't want to miss this special event featuring a seated dinner, dancing, live music, photo opportunities, raffles, casino games, and tons of fun!

Prom RSVP is closed, contact Beth Baker with questions.

Thanks to all making this a wonderful night to remember.

Where is Prom 2019 taking place?

Prom will take place off campus at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, located at 2201 N. Field Street.

What time is the event?

Prom will start at 7:00 p.m. for seniors and 7:15 p.m. for juniors.  Prom will end for both classes at 11:30 p.m.

Will students receive formal invitations?

Juniors and seniors will receive an invitation in the mail after Spring Break.

Will I need to purchase tickets?

Each ESD junior and senior will receive a complimentary ticket (underwritten by junior class fundraising efforts). Non-ESD dates must purchase tickets for $75/each (traditionally purchased by the ESD student inviting the guest and billed to your Eagle's Nest account).

What is the attire?

Black tie. Boys in tuxedos and girls in long formal dresses. Traditionally, the boys give their dates wrist corsages or small bouquets, and the girls give their dates boutonnieres.

What are the guidelines for students at dances and school events?

Please see the linked school dance and student handbook information. Reference the school handbook for more information or contact Jeffrey Laba, Assistant Head of Upper School.

Where are the pre-parties for each grade?

Two separate, grade-wide pre-party events will take place where juniors, seniors, and parents can take photos and socialize immediately before prom. An evite will be sent with more information.

Dallas Country Club

Klyde Warren Park

Are senior parents invited to attend prom to have the first dance?

Yes! This is an ESD tradition you will not want to miss!

Parents of seniors are invited to arrive at 7:00 PM to take pictures and share the first dance of the evening with their student. There is no need for parents to RSVP. Cocktail attire is suggested, and you will be asked to leave by 7:30 PM.

How is seating done?

Tables of 8, 10 and 12 will be used as part of the décor. Any groupings should be organized before RSVPing, and requests should match. The prom committee will do its best to accommodate requests, and extra seats at tables will be filled with remaining guests.

Where should I park?

Seniors will enter the Perot from the main entrance off River Street. Juniors will enter the Perot from Field Street. Parking Lot A will be available for use that evening. We do not recommend leaving vehicles there overnight. Students who drive themselves to prom should plan to drive themselves after prom. If students plan to be picked up from prom in a bus, we recommend that they consider riding with their parents from the Dallas Country Club/Klyde Warren Park to prom and being dropped off.
