What is your favorite thing about ESD?
My favorite thing about ESD is that our grade is like a family. Though not everyone is friends, everyone is kind to one another. Being new last year, it was nice to see how close the grade was. It was a lot like my old school.
What do you look forward to most each day?
I look forward to math each day. Not only have I always had a love for math, but I love my class. We always end up having something to laugh about each day. Laughter is a key part of my day. Even though honors math is very challenging, I still enjoy the class. Our class is made of seventh and eighth graders, and I really like the different perspectives that are created by this.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about competing in triathlons because they give me something fun to do, while keeping me healthy. Though I race alone, I am on a team, which creates camaraderie and a healthy competitive environment. My teammates and I are like siblings. There are few of us, but we are very close. The actual race can be very competitive and intimidating, but afterwards, it is a feeling that can not be forgotten. Triathlons have taught me many lessons, learn from your mistakes, move on, and prepare better next time. These can be applied to much more than just a sport, but life.
