What is your favorite thing about ESD?
The sense of community amongst the student body and faculty. Everyone is kind to everyone and they support your goals and what you want to achieve. The faculty is amazing and I'm very fortunate to have them as my teachers, opening my mind to better understanding the world and life.
Tell me something you are working on at the moment?
I've recently completed my latest short film, "Blood Badge," which is a spaghetti western comedy. I plan on submitting it to many film festivals including SXSW.
Who inspires you?
My dad inspires me. I don't get to see him as much as I would like since he's always working, but that's partly why he inspires me. He works so hard every day to make sure my sisters and I have a great life, and I greatly appreciate that. He also inspires me through his wonderful sense of humor and constant strive for success.
What are you passionate about?
Ever since 7th grade I've been playing football and interacting with film. I've been playing football for ESD from then on. At first I started simply going to film camps and programs, and once I got to high school I began making my own short films and submitting them to film festivals. I am convinced film is the best way to convey an idea or story, and that's what gravitates me to it. Football is simply a fun sport, and I love playing it!
