A Coeducational, College Preparatory School for Ages 3 Through Grade 12

To promote activities involving dads and children in all grade levels while being an inclusive organization dedicated to honoring God by fostering positive relationships with our children, the ESD community, and the community at large.

We are ESD dads...just like you. The Partnership Board consists of 25 board members and more than 350 ESD volunteer dads (partners) that, like you, are committed to being involved in all areas of ESD by volunteering or joining in on activities with your children. We organize and arrange activities all year long on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis at all grades levels to allow dads a way to get plugged in!

Dads' Partnership Events

Lower School Night at the Football and Lacrosse Game:
This is a one-night event we organize for Lower School students and their families to attend a varsity football/lacrosse game at the Upper School complete with food, grilling, a half-time show and the works! You and your child can volunteer and attend this event!

Dads' Partnership Breakfast: Once a year all dads, all grades (B-12) are invited to a breakfast at the Upper School for a well-run program with presentations from school officials, the Dads’ Partnership and a tremendous guest speaker. An old tradition that all dads attend or volunteer to help.

Salvation Army 8th -12th graders: About six times each year dads and students volunteer side by side at the Salvation Army on Harry Hines for an evening of community service, feeding the homeless and helping to change peoples’ lives. Come once or come to all. Show your child the way we give back to others at ESD and to the community. This has become very popular and there are usually 20 to 30 dads and students there each time. Students also receive three community service hours.

Contact Bob Crenshaw to reserve your spot!

Field Day: Once a year we host field day events for the Lower School. Dads and kids gather for a day of activities and competitions as a way to celebrate the end of school and kick-off the summer vacation! This is a well attended event and a lot of fun. Don’t miss this one!

Cornhole Tournament: This one is just for fun! Dads and children will enjoy an exciting night playing cornhole in our first tournament. It is a requirement that dad’s inner child must show up for entertainment value! Just hang out and have fun together.

Bible Study: Please join us in an amazing opportunity to bond with you son or daughter through one of our ESD Dads and Daughters or ESD Dads and Sons bible studies starting this fall for grades 2-12. The kids will read, discuss, and learn memory verses, and also create prayer lists for their friends, family, and pets. Previous groups have been incredibly successful and some continue all the way through senior year! What a blessing!

Dads Serve Breakfast: Every day different dads come with their children early to school and help check out their children’s friends that come to breakfast that day. We have dads volunteering every day! This is one of our most popular events with the flexibility of dads schedule and a great way to get to know your child’s friends better.
