VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS
The Episcopal School of Dallas Fine Arts program is designed to provide an environment in which students can pursue their interests and skills in a variety of performing and creative arts. Our award-winning Fine Arts Department provides an environment for creative and artistic expression. Participation in arts courses and arts-related extracurricular activities helps students develop artistic skill, personal vision, and confident self-expression. These departmental goals combined with departmental Community Service activities align our programs with ESD's Mission and Founding Tenets and our charge to “ignite lives of purpose.”
Our faculty members believe all students have talent and an important point-of-view, and our aim is to nurture the talent of each student while transforming them into well-rounded student-artists. ESD Fine Arts students are also Honor Society members, student leaders, star athletes, and visionaries. They are individuals who are inclusive, disciplined, understand teamwork, view the world from a variety of perspectives, problem-solve, critique and analyze effectively, produce art with purpose, who work collaboratively, and give back to the school and community. These skills represent essential 21st century skills and the Hallmarks of an ESD Graduate.
ESD offers courses in 11 different disciplines taught by professional artists and skilled educators. Each discipline allows for individual growth in a safe and encouraging environment.
