Lower School friends began a "Women of Art" club on Tuesday, January 15, which will meet every Tuesday until March 26. Run by Early Childhood Art teacher Amber Stautzenberger, the club focuses on female artists and their contributions in the Art world, past and present, from painters to printmakers. The club is open to all genders from Pre-K to 1st grade. There are currently 18 members, which has filled the art room to its maximum limit.
"I was thrilled to know so many students wanted to be a part of something I've been wanting to form for a while. Though this session is full, I hope to offer more art related clubs in the future," said Amber Stautzenberger.
The past two weeks students about designer Lana Nguyen. Next week, members will learn about and create art inspired by Disney artist, Mary Blair.
