1. JOIN US: Two Arts Events You Don't Want to Miss
Eight student artists have been invited to present their work in the Dallas Young Artist Exhibition on January 17 at 6:00 p.m. Learn more about this event here. Then, join us January 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bray Performance Hall for the third annual Film Festival, featuring the innovations and creations of our very own Eagle movie-makers. 3. DON'T FORGET: Eighth Grade MLK Day of Service
We would love for all ESD eighth grade students to join us on MLK Day (no school) for a fun community service activity on campus working side-by-side with our applicants for ninth grade who are coming from all over Dallas. It's a fun way to get to know some potential new classmates, honor the spirit of MLK by giving back to our community and represent the ESD community in the best way possible! 4. SIGN UP NOW: Eagles Lacrosse Spring Registration Open
Open to boys (K - 6th) and girls (2nd - 6th), Eagles Lacrosse allows students of all abilities the opportunity to fine-tune their lacrosse skills and improve their overall performance. 5. AT CAPACITY: Join the Waitlist for the Speaker Series
We are excited to announce we have reached capacity for the Speaker Series on January 28! Although the spaces are full, you will be able to sign up for a waitlist should any spots become available. If you have registered and will not be able to attend, please let us know so that we can inform those on the waitlist. The speaker series is held at St. Mark's in collaboration with St. Mark's, Greenhill, and Hockaday. Click here to join the waitlist.
6. ORDER NOW: Visiting Writer Program Books
The inaugural Bill Cook Visiting Writer Program will host Karen Blumenthal on January 31 in All Saints Chapel. Ms. Blumenthal will sign books on the day of the event, and families may order copies of her books through the Eagle’s Nest using the following form. 7. SIGN UP NOW: Students Shoulder to Shoulder
Attention rising freshmen - registration for Students Shoulder to Shoulder program is now open. ESD is a founding member of the SStS coalition and has sent approximately 50 students and five teachers to communities both domestic and abroad since 2011. 8. Getting Ready for Re-Enrollment 2019-20
Re-enrollment for the 2019-20 school year will open on February 1, 2019. We will use DocuSign to gather electronic signatures for the Tuition and Enrollment Agreements. Each parent will sign an Agreement using a unique email address. To ensure a smooth process, please check that each parent's email address in Senior Systems is accurate. Log in to your Parent Portal, click on My Backpack and select “my profile” to view the email address on file.
