Sky Watch November.....
Evening skies: Saturn is low in the southwest after sunset, followed by Mars in the south. Winter stars begin to rise around 10 and the constellation Cassiopeia (which looks like a W) is right overhead this time of year.
Full Moon on the 22nd.
Morning skies: The winter stars, Orion and company, are high in the south before dawn . Venus will become a bright morning star following them by the end of the month.
Monarch Butterflies are still fluttering through, and hawks are all over the place, often being chased by Crows or Bluejays.
Photo is of a Bluejay smacking a Red Tailed Hawk at the Quarry last year!
November is a great time of year to get outside when "The world is too much with us" ..............PKL
