This past weekend, both current and alumni ESD rowers fought it out on the water this past weekend in various regattas with some great results!
At the Texas Rowing Championship regatta Will Beck ’19 and Mason Gosslee ’19 came in second in the Mens Varsity 2x and Ford Bannister ’21, Sam Curtis ’21, Christopher Hess ’21, and Sam Lindsey ’21 won third place in the Mens Novice 4x. Katelin Gildersleeve ’19 placed first in both the 1x and 2x races at the same regatta, while her classmates Sriya Dodda ’19 and Izzy Harrington ’18 placed sixth in their 8+ race in the Mercer Lake Sprints regatta at Princeton and achieved their fastest race time to date. Bryce Miltenberger ’19 and his quad also raced at the Mercer Lake Sprints regatta, placing fourth overall.
ESD crew alums Niko Gies ’17, Tommy Hessel ’17, and Liam Herrick ’15 were also on the water this past weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship. Though each alum rows for different universities, with Gies at University of Texas, Hessel at Duke University, and Liam at University of Colorado, they enjoyed reuniting at the regatta. Gies and his boat won third place for a bronze medal in the Mens V4+ LTWT, Hessel and his boat placed third in the Mens V8+ C Final, and Herrick and his boat placed sixth overall in the Mens V4+.
Congratulations to all Eagles who rowed this past weekend!
