The Episcopal School of Dallas is thankful to announce a gift by current and alumni parents Alexandra and Matt Lovitt. The Lovitt Family gift supports the building of the new Lower School on the Merrell Road Campus. The Lovitts also serve as parent volunteers for the campaign.
While fully prepared for academic and intellectual success, the Lovitts believe students who graduate from ESD gain much more. "ESD blends a faith-based education with a focus on the whole child," said Dr. Lovitt. "Young adults who graduate from ESD are well rounded, polite, well spoken, and well read."
The Lovitts were inspired to be involved with the campaign by their desire to "pay it forward" for future generations. They appreciate the impact the ESD education has had on their children, Joe '05, Nick '09, Catherine '14, Elliot '24, and Jack '26.
"We are excited to see students attending challenging universities after graduating from ESD," continued Lovitt. "Increasingly, students are being recruited to well-recognized schools. We would like to see these trends continue."
Gifts like the Lovitts help ensure ESD's youngest students and their teachers have the physical resources essential to supporting the delivery of ESD's Hallmarks, Mission, and Founding Tenets.
