The Episcopal School of Dallas is honored to announce a campaign contribution from Laura and Rick Lear, who also serve as the lead volunteers for the Lower School Parent Constituency Team. The Lear Family gift helps provide the capital necessary to build the new Lower School on the Merrell Road Campus.
"The experiences of our children inspired us to contribute our time and resources to this campaign," said Rick Lear. "They are happy, confident, and well adjusted. They love learning and are surrounded and supported by the ESD community."
The Lears believe that ESD's curriculum encourages children to be creative, well-rounded, disciplined, and curious. Its continued success, they believe, is due to the school's abilities to attract and retain the brightest educators and build upon ESD's Mission, Founding Tenets, traditions, and strong faith base.
"We look forward to the future as ESD remains committed to the ideals it was founded upon, yet open-minded for growth and progression," Lear continued. "ESD must keep its focus and purpose while adapting to a perpetually evolving world where technology evolves at a rapid pace and the landscape changes daily."
ESD's intent to prepare lives that will go out from the classroom, reach out to the community, and stand out in the world aligns with the Lears' family values.
"Our family purpose is to have a positive impact on the world, and we do this in how we live our lives," Lear said. "There are many worthy causes to give to, and we believe education is an important area. With this gift, we are investing in the future minds and character of our children, as well as the city of Dallas and state of Texas."
