One of ESD's own, Elizabeth Moss '22, is returning to campus this week after placing 2nd in an international vocal competition held at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall.
Last fall, Moss's voice teacher asked a select group of his students to audition for the American Fine Arts Festival at Carnegie Hall. From her audition, she was then chosen to participate in the Golden Voices of America International Competition, which was to be hosted at Carnegie Hall.
"We found out in November that she was selected to participate in this recital competition," explained her mother, Tessa Moss. "It was an amazing experience amongst many talented young performers. She did a wonderful job and we are so proud of her."
Moss sang "When I Look at You" from the musical The Scarlet Pimpernel for her recital performance this past Sunday, for which she was awarded a 2nd Place Diploma. She is also a Middle School choir student who was selected by the TPSMEA Middle School Honor Choir as one of only 25 soprano voice parts out of students across the North Texas area.
Congratulations to Elizabeth on these exciting achievements. We are proud of you, Eagle!
