Upper School teacher, Mark Oglesby, was tapped by College Board earlier this month to assist on the Instructional Design Committee for the revised AP US Government and Politics course.
This opportunity was presented to Oglesby following his service for four years as a member of the Test Development Committee, as well as his 12 years as a Table Leader for the AP US Government and Politics course. His new role on the Instructional Design Committee will consist of important undertakings like creating an Instructional Approaches resource as part of the Course and Exam Description, working with partners in understanding and refining the US GoPo curriculum map, creating instructional videos that help teachers with the new course skills, and developing AP Summer Institute materials for summer 2018.
"I am looking forward to this opportunity and contributing to the teaching and learning of the redesigned course, while representing ESD in the process," said Oglesby.
His role on this committee will no doubt enhance the learning in his own AP Government and Politics classroom throughout the year.
