Today our Pre-K students performed for a packed house in their spring musical, “The World Outside My Window.” Their show touched on the magic that happens during all four seasons and was partly inspired by snow globes.
The Pre-K classes were each assigned a season, and while the entire grade did several songs together, there were special songs for each season performed in smaller groups. Audience participation was also encouraged at one point, with Pre-K students instructing the crowd to make particular hand motions like clapping, snapping, and waving, in order to create music from just their bodies and the sheer size of the audience.
The show was filled with all kinds of props and instruments, from xylophones and all sizes of African drums to multi-colored ribbon wands and some sunglasses for the finale! It was quite a production, full of fun facts and anecdotes from each season. Thank you, talented Pre-K kids!
