ALL GIRLS, ALL THE TIME

Week 8 | Grades K - 4 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Join us for a week of girl fun! Students will have a great time cooking, playing games, learning cheers, dancing, creating art, and playing on the waterslide. It will be a week you do not want to miss! Campers need to bring a lunch, bathing suit, and towel.

CAMP CRAFTY

Weeks 9 and 10 | Grades 4 - 8 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $285 

Join crafter extraordinaire, Kasey Schneider, for a week of imagination, design and fun. Create one-of-a-kind masterpieces to keep for yourself or to give to friends and family. While using a variety of supplies like wood, paint, string, beads and buttons, you’ll be sure to have a great time. Come along for a fun week packed with crafty ideas! Campers need to bring a lunch.

CAMP CREATE

Week 6 | Age 4 - Grade 2 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Bring your creative camper to draw, paint, sculpt, build, sing, dance, and act. Campers will engage in a variety of hands-on activities using a wide range of materials to explore their artist within. Plan to get messy, have fun, and meet new friends. The sessions will culminate with a short drama production to showcase the week. Campers need to bring a lunch.

CYMBALS AND SHAKERS AND DRUMS, OH MY!

Weeks 10 and 11 | Ages 4 - 6 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Your young musicians will love exploring music for the week! We will make and play instruments, sing songs, play games and move to music. We plan to discover how to play rhythm instruments, including xylophones, cymbals, shakers and drums, among others. This week will be filled with a variety of music activities that will keep your child singing and playing throughout the summer. Campers need to bring a lunch.

FUN FOR GIRLS

Weeks 10 and 11 | Ages 6 - 8 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Prepare for a week of all things girl! Movin' and Groovin' Monday will be filled with dance-offs, talent shows, and music. Touch of Art Tuesday will be filled with super-fun art projects. On PJ Wednesday wear your pajamas and our day will be filled with ideas and crafts to prepare for your next slumber party. Throwback Thursday will be spent playing games and making crafts that we older girls grew up with. Fashion Friday will end our week making fashionable accessories that your camper can take home! Time will be allotted for play in the gymnasium and water slide. Campers need to bring a lunch.

FUN WITH PAINT!

Weeks 3 and 4 | Age 4 - Grade 1 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Have you ever wanted to splatter paint everywhere? Can you paint without a paintbrush? Wear old clothes and get ready to have FUN as we create, explore, learn and have FUN WITH PAINT. We will use different paints, textures and everyday objects to make painting come alive. This class is all about the process. Masterpieces will be yours to keep. Time will also be allotted for outdoor play and water slide. Campers need to bring a lunch.

GUITAR FOR BEGINNERS

Week 3  |  Grades 5 - 12  |  12:30 - 3:30 p.m.  |  $200

This class is designed for beginners on the guitar or players who would like to fill in the gaps in their basic overall knowledge of the instrument. The idea is to get you playing right away. Join ESD’s Van Rusuriye and learn fingerboard knowledge, basic techniques, chords, strumming, basic improvisation, basics of finger-style technique, reading music (standard notation/tablature), and basic concepts in music theory that can be used to read & write music and figure out songs by ear. There will be an ensemble performance at the end of each class. To demonstrate mastery of learned concepts, each student will perform a piece of music of their choosing. Students need to bring their own guitar- any type will do!

MAKING POTTERY ON THE POTTER'S WHEEL

Week 3 | Grades 5 - 12 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $260

Have you ever wanted to try the potter's wheel? Now is the time! Spend a week with ESD's Barbara Brault making pots on the potter's wheel. Students will spend the first three days of camp making pots on the wheel, and then glazing their work in the final two days. Old clothes are a must!

PAINTING ACRYLIC MASTERPIECES

Weeks 4 and 9 | Grades 1 - 6 | 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. | $260

There’s an artist in everyone. During this weeklong class, we will recreate some of the masterworks from the greats…Pollock, Matisse, Owens, Van Gogh, and Pissarro. Students will learn about a different master, build creative confidence and take home a completed acrylic painting each day.  New artists are introduced so returning students will be introduced to new paintings each camp. Instructor is Melanie Brannan, fine artist and teacher.

SMARTPHONE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Week 5 | Entering Grade 7 - 12 | 9:00 a. m. - 12:00 p. m. | $250

It has been said that the best camera is the one that you have with you! In this workshop you will learn how to properly light, pose and shoot digital photographs like a pro. Digital SLR cameras are welcome, but the major focus will be to help improve your smartphone photography and create final images that will dazzle your friends and relatives with the camera you have in your pocket. The major hands-on topics and shooting techniques we will discuss include:

Exposure - Composition - Posing

White Balance - Rule of Thirds - HDR Photography

ISO - Direct Lighting - Background Lighting and Creativity

Aperture - Reflective Lighting - Shooting Silhouettes

Shutter Speed - Contrast - Dragging the Shutter

We will review and discuss many of the best mobile apps available for the iPhone and Android platforms to help you transform your images into beautiful works of art. We will shoot on location on the school property as a group, and have a photo judging contest the last day of class.

SPANISH LANGUAGE CAMP FOR KIDS

Week 9 | Ages 3 - 5 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Join ESD's Angie O'Brien for a week of Spanish immersion. This is the best time in life to learn another language. Spanish classes for this age will involve finger plays, family members, and days of the week. Students will also work on personalized/comprehensible questions such as, "¿Hola, cómo estás? /Muy bien, gracias, y ¿tú?" Campers need to bring a lunch.

STORYBOOK MUSICAL

Weeks 3 and 4  |  Grades K - 2  |  9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  |  $275

The stage awaits and it's calling your young performer’s name!  Campers spend the week learning about music and instruments, rhythms, dance, and the variety of ways a performer can tell a story! This one week camp is a wonderful introduction to drama, music and movement. Each day, campers will step into one of their favorite storybooks and learn how to bring it to life on stage.  Campers will use their imaginations to help create their musical production, including setting the stage with their art. Storybook Musical Camp will culminate in a musical theater performance on the last day in our theater for family and friends to attend. Let your little star shine!. Campers need to bring a lunch.

SUMMER FUN

Week 6 | Ages 3 - 4 | MWF 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and TTH 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $265

Summer Fun sessions are uniquely designed for campers three and four years of age (must turn 3 before June 24). Preschoolers will enjoy organized activities such as arts and crafts, story time, music, and playground games! Children must be potty-trained and ready for group activities. Campers need to bring a lunch. Snacks are provided. On Tuesday and Thursday, the children will have a brief quiet time and may choose to bring a blanket and/or pillow.

TIPPI TOES BALLET, JAZZ, AND TAP CAMP

Week 9 | Ages 3 - 6 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $210

At Tippi Toes® Dance camp, dancers will learn technique in ballet, jazz and tap while also exploring self-expression and creativity. Dancers will learn choreography to high energy, kid-friendly music, read stories about dance and work on crafts throughout the week. Parents are invited to a mini performance on the last day of camp.

Attire: Dancers can wear a combination of a leotard or non-restrictive top and tights, ballet skirt or leggings.  Ballet slippers or jazz shoes are preferred but socks are also fine! (Please write your child’s name in the inside of all shoes). This camp is taught by a Tippi Toes instructor.

TIPPI TOES HIP HOP AND JAZZ CAMP

Week 5 | Ages 5 - 10 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $280

Do you love music and love to dance? Our teachers will have you dancin’ to the Tippi Toes® beat in no time! Students at Hip Hop Camp will learn kid-friendly choreography to upbeat, age-appropriate music, and they will work on various crafts and learn fun movement games throughout the week. Tippi Toes® Hip Hop Camp is sure to be an awesome time for your dancer! Parents are invited to a mini-performance on the last day of camp. Attire: Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt, tank top or leotard with tennis shoes or jazz shoes works best! This camp is taught by a Tippi Toes instructor. Campers need to bring a lunch.
