ALL BOYS, ALL THE TIME

Week 11 | Grades 1 - 6 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Join us for a week of nothing but boy fun! Come and hang out with ESD's Mike Schneider (the world’s greatest handball player) to play sports and games on the Merrell Road campus. We play tons of sports and games, and even make up new ones! Work up a sweat then cool off on the water slide. It is pure fun at its best! Campers need to bring a lunch, bathing suit, and towel.

BASEBALL

Week 4 | Ages 8 - 13 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $160

Join Albert Najera, ESD's varsity baseball coach, for 3 days of skills and drills using our fantastic baseball facility. It's a great camp for players who want to improve their all-around skill level! Please bring a glove, cleats, and a bat if you have one. All pre-enrolled campers will receive a camp shirt. This camp meets Monday - Wednesday.

BODY FIRST FITNESS

Weeks 3 - 6 and 8 - 10  |  Grades 6 - 9  |  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  |  $300 per session or $500 for both

Our staff of nationally certified coaches will instruct campers on a variety of exercise regimens using primarily bodyweight, accompanied by medicine balls, kettlebells, and resistance bands. Campers will be evaluated in several manners including the Functional Movement Screen, general flexibility and strength tests, speed and agility tests, as well as work capacity testing. Typical workouts will begin with an active warm-up focusing on body preparation for the day’s work. Sessions will end with a cool-down focused on mobility, flexibility, and general relaxation of body tissue. There will be two sessions offered - one four-week class in June, and one three-week session in July. The second session of Body First Fitness will build and expand on the foundation established in session one. Work will still focus on whole body fitness - flexibility, strength, speed and agility work. In sticking with established principles for increasing human performance, we will add additional implements and resistance. An emphasis will be placed on correct and safe movement patterns that will carry over to every sport. It is highly recommended that students attend session 1 to prepare for session 2. Camp meets Monday-Friday.

BOOMER BALL

Weeks 4 and 10  |  Grades 1 - 8  |  12:30 - 3:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  |  $225

Join ESD’s 3-time SPC champion football coach, Coach Williams, along with other energetic coaches for an exciting and FUNTASTIC camp! Boomer Ball camp has a multitude of activities planned to fill your summer days with fun. Here is your chance to try that sport you have always wanted to play. In fact, you can try a dozen sports including boomer ball (voted the best game ever), soccer, basketball, flag football, hockey, ultimate Frisbee, dodge ball and many more. Emphasis will be on FUN, overall confidence/well-being of the camper, character lessons, and team concepts. Popsicles will also be provided at the end of each session. No athletic experience is necessary. Campers should bring athletic shoes, water bottle, and a light snack. BOYS BASKETBALL

Week 8 | Grades 1 - 8 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | $275

Join ESD's three-time SPC champion coach, Corey Henderson, and his strong staff for their 15th annual camp. Prepare yourself for a fun-filled week of basketball! This camp is designed to give outstanding basketball instruction and will provide the basic fundamentals, excellent lectures, 1-on-1 and 5-on-5 games. This camp will also emphasize sportsmanship and character. Older campers will be introduced to more advanced concepts. His experienced staffers are seasoned, motivated and ready to work. Campers need indoor basketball shoes and should bring a lunch. All pre-enrolled campers will receive a camp shirt. DALLAS MAVERICKS HOOP CAMP

Week 5 | Ages 8 - 18 | 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Young basketball players of all skill levels learn the game from the best camp coaching staff in Texas. Our professional coaches are handpicked for their basketball knowledge and ability to work well with kids. EAGLES SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP

Weeks 3 - 5 and 8 - 10  | Grades 7 - 12  |  4:30 - 6:00 p.m.  |  $350 per session or $600 for both

Join ESD’s 3-time SPC champion football coach, Richard Williams, along with some of DFW's best position coaches and trainers to provide high level fundamental, position specific football training. ESD's Summer Football camp is for football players looking to improve their skills through non-contact competition over the summer months. The workouts will focus on fundamentals, speed & agility, flexibility, nutrition, and leadership. Flexibility will be enhanced through yoga sessions and recovery will be improved via mobile cryogenic chamber therapy. We are also offering competitions for both skilled players and linemen via 7-on-7 and lineman challenges. Workouts will be held Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm-6:00pm beginning on June 3. FIRST TEE DRIVE GOLF CAMP

Weeks 6 and 10 | Grades 1 - 3 and 4 - 6 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $185

The First Tee Drive Golf program is sponsored by PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour and Masters Association. They have developed an innovative curriculum to teach young girls and boys the basics of golf.  This camp focus is instruction of skills and fundamentals in the four basic golf shots: putting, chipping, pitching and the full swing.   Coaches utilize specially designed learning equipment with oversized club faces, color coded grips, target oriented training tools and alignment markings. Each activity empowers young boys and girls to explore their abilities and develop life-enhancing values along the way.  Games to help reinforce the skills are attractive to young athletes such as “golf baseball” and “golf soccer”.  The last day of the week campers with participate in a tournament with awards!  The First Tee Drive Golf camp is perfect for the beginner wanting to develop the basics of the game in a fun, team-based environment. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL 1

Week 11 | Grades 9 - 12 | 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. | $225

Join ESD's varsity volleyball coach, Laura Gomez, and her highly trained staff, for three days of volleyball. This camp is a great opportunity for girls entering grades 9-12 to prepare for tryouts. Participants need indoor athletic shoes with non-marking soles, kneepads, and a water bottle. Volleyballs will be provided. All pre-enrolled campers will receive a camp shirt. This is a three-day camp (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL 2

Week 11 | Grades 4 - 8 | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. | $150

Join ESD's varsity volleyball coach, Laura Gomez, and her highly trained staff, for three days of volleyball. This camp will provide girls entering grades 4-8 with basic skill development including serving, passing, hitting, setting and blocking. Participants need indoor athletic shoes with non-marking soles, kneepads, and a water bottle. Volleyballs will be provided. HOOPS, SCOOPS, & SHOTS

Week 9 | Grades K - 1 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $185

Hoops, Scoops and Shots combines three of our most popular sport offerings: Basketball, Lacrosse, and Tennis!  Hoops focuses on the fundamentals of basketball: passing, shooting, dribbling and basic game rules. Scoops offers an introduction to lacrosse stressing cradling, passing, scooping and catching. Shots utilizes the highly popular USTA NetGeneration tennis curriculum combining basic skills and interactive games to reinforce the learning of groundstrokes, volleys, and serving. Physical components stressed are agility, accuracy, flexibility, balance, stamina, coordination and speed. Campers need to bring a snack each day. This camp is taught by Kidokinetics coaches.

KARATE AND SELF DEFENSE

Week 10 | Ages 6 - 12 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $225

Dr. Nick Chamberlain and his team of expert instructors will lead students through a fun-packed program of karate, martial arts, and self-defense. This exciting camp will safely introduce students to the martial arts, as well as polish and expand the skills of those with previous experience. Activities cover all the important areas of karate including kicking, striking and blocking drills, self-defense techniques with a partner, personal safety tips, wrestling and ground work, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the history of martial arts, the appropriate use of new skills and much more! If your son or daughter has wanted to try karate and the martial arts, then this is the perfect opportunity for him or her to train safely with high-ranking, experienced instructors. Tuition includes the uniform and belt. Certificates of completion will be awarded on the last day of camp.

LONE STAR FIELD HOCKEY

Week 4  |  Grades 3 - 9  |  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  

This camp is led by ESD and Lonestar coach, Clarence Jennelle.  The camp caters to both beginners and intermediate level players in grades 3 – 9.  For those new to Field Hockey, our beginners program will quickly have you playing and loving the game.  For our more experienced junior players, our Intermediate Groups will work on mastering more advanced turf-based skills and more advanced game tactics.   Each day will include a combination of skills training and fun scrimmages in skill appropriate groups.  This camp is open to all players, not just members of Lone Star Field Hockey.

MINI CHEERLEADING

Join ESD's cheerleading program director, Megan Boyd ‘09, and varsity cheerleaders and come release your energy at a camp where jumping and yelling is encouraged! Our goal is to build the self-confidence in each athlete as they learn basic cheerleading jumps, cheers, dances, stunts, and other fun activities! At the end of camp we will have a performance for families and friends to come and see all that we have learned. Cheers! Campers are asked to bring a healthy snack and wear tennis shoes. This camp meets Wednesday-Friday.

MOVIN' AND GROOVIN' IN THE SUMMER

Is your child missing out on all the fun activities from PE class? Are you ready to get him or her up and moving? This is the camp for you! Join ESD’s Dena Geier for a week playing all the PE favorites - kickball, dodge ball, knock out - as well as many more exciting games and activities. PHIL PRESSEY '10 BASKETBALL

Phil Pressey '10 brings plenty of insight, as he enters his 6th year of playing NBA and European basketball in which he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience plus lots of fun activities, prizes and gifts back to his Alma Mater. This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals. His experienced staffers are seasoned, motivated and ready to work. Campers will receive a camp shirt, a Phil Pressey autograph and picture session, and a chance to win other prizes. Campers need to bring a lunch. Camp director: Corey Henderson Sr.

PHIL PRESSEY '10 HIGH LEVEL SKILLS

This camp is designed to work on more advanced skills and concepts of basketball. Skills, drills and competitions will be more demanding. His experienced staffers are seasoned, motivated and ready to work. Campers will receive a camp shirt, a Phil Pressey autograph and picture session, and a chance to win other prizes. This is a 4 day camp, Monday-Thursday. Camp director: Corey Henderson Sr.

SOCCER

Join head varsity coach Mark Gardner as he shares his 31st year of limitless enthusiasm on the soccer fields. The camp will provide individual challenges for every player. Daily drills, and competitions will increase each camper's knowledge, awareness, and skills. Meet in the Hart Gymnasium rain or shine! Campers need indoor and outdoor shoes, shin guards, a water bottle and a lunch. All pre-enrolled campers will receive a camp shirt.

SOCCER FOR GIRLS

These camps are for female soccer players, ages 10-17, who are interested in soccer and want to improve their skills and understanding of the sport. The camps are challenging and fun! Come each day prepared to have a blast while honing your soccer skills in a friendly, positive environment, utilizing the perfect grass fields and excellent facilities at ESD. The camps are run by Mike Renshaw, ESD's former varsity women's soccer coach. Other camp staff includes former ESD varsity players and current ESD girl's middle and upper school soccer coaches.

SUPER SPORTS SAMPLER BY KIDOKINETICS

Weeks 3 - 6 and 8 - 11 | Ages 3 - K | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $185

Super Sport Sampler is designed to provide a fun, active week of exercise, games, nutrition and sport activities. Coaches introduce new sports activities each day to keep the kiddos excited and engaged with a focus on skills and drills.  During breaks coaches provide an arts and crafts project, story time with sports and nutrition themed children’s books, and various games. Sports activities include: Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball/T-ball, Flag Football, Soccer, Badminton, Hockey, Obstacle Courses, Hula Hoops, Noodlekinetics, Jump Rope, Kickball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Frisbees and Parachute Games. Campers must be potty trained! Campers should bring a snack each day. This camp is taught by Kidokinetics coaches.

TIPPI TOES BALLET, TAP AND JAZZ CAMP

Week 9 | Ages 3 - 6 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $210

At Tippi Toes® Dance camp, dancers will learn technique in ballet, jazz and tap while also exploring self-expression and creativity. Dancers will learn choreography to high energy, kid-friendly music, read stories about dance and work on crafts throughout the week. Parents are invited to a mini performance on the last day of camp.

Attire: Dancers can wear a combination of a leotard or non-restrictive top and tights, ballet skirt or leggings.  Ballet slippers or jazz shoes are preferred but socks are also fine! (Please write your child’s name in the inside of all shoes). This camp is taught by a Tippi Toes instructor.

TIPPI TOES HIP HOP AND JAZZ CAMP

Do you love music and love to dance? Our teachers will have you dancin’ to the Tippi Toes® beat in no time! Students at Hip Hop Camp will learn kid-friendly choreography to upbeat, age-appropriate music, and they will work on various crafts and learn fun movement games throughout the week. Tippi Toes® Hip Hop Camp is sure to be an awesome time for your dancer! Parents are invited to a mini-performance on the last day of camp. Attire: Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt, tank top or leotard with tennis shoes or jazz shoes works best! This camp is taught by a Tippi Toes instructor. Campers need to bring a lunch.

TUMBLE FUN!

Weeks 5 and 11 | Ages 3 - Grade K | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | $185

Combining the best of tumbling and gymnastics basics with games and activities provides young boys and girls a week of fitness, skills, and FUN!  Our TumbleFun camp instructs floor activities including forward and backward rolls, bridges, donkey kicks, jumps, and cartwheels.  Our trained coaches keep the week varied with the use of obstacle courses, parachute games, music, rhythm streamers, games and more! Each day children will engage in basic fitness components such as flexibility, balance, and coordination.  Perfect for any child that likes to move, wiggle, and have FUN! Campers must be potty trained! Campers need to bring a snack. This camp is taught by Kidokinetics coaches.

USTA TENNIS

Weeks 3 and 4 | Grades 1 - 3 and 4 - 6 | 9:00 - 12:00 a.m. | $185

USTA Net Generation Tennis is a nationally recognized program designed to introduce young girls and boys to the sport in a fun learning environment.  The program enables our trained coaches to conduct camp without the use of standard courts with the use of tape and lines to simulate a court service.  This along with equipment and curriculum specifically designed for young players allows for a fun and engaging instruction of the basic skills of the game.  Children are introduced to groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, and serves.  During mini breaks from the curriculum coaches will introduce games that incorporate important fitness components including agility, strength, power, endurance, speed, coordination, and accuracy.  Tennis etiquette and rules of the game are also introduced during the camp.  This is an ideal learning experience for children to gain confidence through a fun, fast paced skills and drills program. 

This camp is taught by Kidokinetics coaches.

WRESTLING

Week 3  |  Ages 7 - 14  |  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  |  $125

Welcome to ESD wrestling camp. This camp will be an introduction to the sport of wrestling. Campers will learn techniques, hear motivational speeches and do some fun games- all used to be successful in the sport of wrestling. This camp will be run by ESD head wrestling coach, Kwinten Brown. Coach Brown has been coaching wrestling for over ten years. Coach Brown wrestled at King University where he was a national qualifier and team captain. Campers should wear a t-shirt and athletic shorts.
