Senior Becomes Published Author; Book Signing Scheduled for Thursday
Katie Voss

Christina Gordon, a senior at The Episcopal School of Dallas, became a published author upon the release of Finding Hope: A Dog's Tale. Gordon's book is told from the point of view of a homeless, stray dog who has recently lost one his siblings. Good timing and perseverance are everything, and the dog becomes a hero and finds a home with a family of immigrants just like himself.

On Monday, students and faculty and staff members gathered in the Gill Library to hear the author read parts of her book aloud. Last year, Gordon read her book to students in the Class of 2022 during the fourth grade's Texas History study. Well received by the younger ESD students, Lower School librarian Bonnie Tollefson invited Gordon to read for the Class of 2023's Texas History study in January 2015.

Gordon's book can be purchased at Barnes & Noble or on Amazon. She will also be at Blue Print at 2707 Fairmount on Thursday, October 9 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. to sign copies of her book.
