Today, immediately following chapel, middle school siblings Wynn and Virginia successfully named all 348 middle schoolers (even our new Eagles) and 40 advisors!
The Name Game is one of ESD’s longest-standing traditions that traces its origins back to our beginning years - 1976. For nearly 50 years, two students have worked together to name every student and faculty member in their division by first and last name during the first few weeks of school. It is designed to reiterate that at ESD, you are truly known, loved, cherished, and nurtured.
"It was such a good feeling that they knew my name," said one new middle school student. "Sometimes you worry when you go to a new school that you won't make friends, but everyone here has been so helpful and welcoming. I love this school."
Thank you, Eagles, for continuing to build such a welcoming community!
