Kelsey and David Davidson Jr. ’05, P’37 Establish Endowment Fund
Staff

The David Council Davidson Jr. ’05 family creates a legacy of support for ESD with their family’s endowment. The family leads the way as the school gears up for its next major fundraising effort – a campaign focused on endowment, investing in people and programs – to be launched in celebration of ESD’s 50th anniversary, during the 2024-25 school year.

What inspired you to make a gift to ESD?

When I look back on my life, the impact ESD had on it was thus far the most meaningful. During the nine years that I was a student at ESD, the teachers, the friendships, and the remarkable experiences we shared all significantly influenced my life.

What appealed to you about giving to the endowment?

ESD has been part of my family and life for over 25 years – as a student, alum, and now, parent. In giving to ESD, I’m giving back not only because of the amazing memories and connection I have personally but also because Kelsey and I look forward to continuing to give to both our family endowment and the annual fund to support the success of our children and all of my friends and family at ESD.

Please describe the purpose of your endowment fund – in what way will the fund’s investment returns be used?

Currently, our fund will provide unrestricted support for ESD. As Dave Baad and school leadership identify important priorities going forward, we will thoughtfully consider directing our endowment where it can best support the school’s future success.

What advice would you offer to inspire others to consider establishing an endowment fund?

If ESD is an important part of your dreams, make a commitment to support our ESD family, in a meaningful way with what you can. Let’s build a legacy, for the generations of students who follow, and keep our dreams and memories a reflection that lives on in the soul of the ESD Eagle spirit.
