Ready. Set. Debate! Ms. Scott’s classes participated in the Second Continental Congress Debate: Loyalists vs. Patriots. Who won this time? 

Last Friday, fourth graders hard work came to bear. Preparation for the debates included students researching and finding evidence to support their claims. Lawyer and special guest Chris Ayres '97 spoke to the classes about the art of debating. 

At the event, Eagles had apply what they learned and fight for their side with Judge Scott left to determine whether there would be liberty or continued British rule! There was even a colonial “spy” during the research phase (just like in 1776). We love a historical reenactment.
