ESD would like to welcome Crystal Carrizales as ESD’s new Head Athletic Trainer. Crystal has served as ESD’s Assistant Athletic Trainer for the last 5 years.

“I would to personally thank Jeff Geier for all his many. contributions to ESD during his tenure and congratulate him on his new opportunity at Hockaday,” said Dan Gill, Director of Athletics. "We are thrilled to be able to have someone of Crystal’s caliber take on the role of head athletic trainer. Her passion and dedication to our student-athletes and coaches have been an enormous asset to our department since she arrived at ESD."

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Texas Wesleyan University, Crystal worked in a clinical setting as a Physical Therapist Technician at Sport Therapy in Fort Worth before spending 6 years as a Rehabilitation Technician at Texas Medical Institute. Just prior to joining us at ESD, Crystal completed her master’s degree in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University.
