ESD would like to announce that Mike Schneider will be the new program director and varsity head coach for girls softball. He returns to the program he led for the first 20 years of its existence.

"I am excited to have Coach Schneider back leading our softball program,” said Dan Gill, Director of Athletics. “Mike's integrity, combined with his unwavering commitment to ESD's mission and the student-athlete experience makes him the perfect candidate for this role."

Now in his 33rd year at ESD, Mike has held many different coaching and academic positions at the school, including his current role of Physical Education Department Chair. The Albertson, New York-native holds a bachelor degree from the College of William & Mary as well as a master’s from East Texas State University (now known as Texas A&M – Commerce). Mike is excited to return to coaching softball after coaching a variety of other sports at both the varsity and middle school levels.
