Staff

We are delighted to introduce Jana Jeffrey as ESD's next program leader and head varsity coach for girls soccer. Already an Eagle, Jana joined ESD in 2020 as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and JV Head Coach for girls soccer.

Before coming to ESD, Coach Jeffery spent five years teaching and coaching in Dallas including as the JV Head Coach at Greenhill and as Assistant Varsity Coach for Parish Episcopal. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Development from Boston College, and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University Commerce.

A graduate of Ursuline Academy, Jana finished her high school career with four state championships. She was named the Gatorade Texas Player of the Year in 2012 and was a part of the national team player pool for two years before going on to play four years at Boston College. During her sophomore season, the Eagles reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, and she was named team captain her senior season.

"Jana was a highly successful student-athlete, influential as an assistant coach and will be very instrumental going forward leading our program,” stated Dan Gill, Director of Athletics. “She’s a proud faculty/staff member, knowledgeable and talented, with a deep appreciation for ESD, our program and the sport."

Coach Jeffrey looks to build upon the decades of success of the girls soccer most recently under the guidance of Coach Susan Quill, who over her two seasons led the program to a third-place finish at SPC and a second-place finish in the SPC North Zone in a COVID-shortened season.
