This afternoon, 35 members of the Class of 2024 were inducted into the National Honor Society. To qualify, students must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher, demonstrate good character, maintain a clean disciplinary record, exemplify leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, and participate in community service. The "Eagle Chapter" of the National Honor Society was established in 1990.
At the special service, NHS Vice President Sydney Stuelpe '23 spoke about the organization's history and importance, and Grace Exall '23 presented an overview of the chapter's accomplishments this year. NHS President Liam Pham '23 introduced the speaker for the event, Lili Clark '15. Following the address, current NHS Secretary Katherine Hess '23 and Treasurer Katye Dullye '23 presented the inductees. Head of Upper School Henry Heil and Head of School Dave Baad gave each student a lapel pin and certificate.
This year's inductees are as follows: Morgan Amison, Caroline Bagley, Kathryn Bakewell, Miles Bates, Abby Baughman, Lily Bergman, Lawsyn Clements, Hannah Davisson, Kristin Doebele, Kate Eastin, Brayden Girata, Ben Guerriero, Nick Inglis, Christopher Inglis, Cam Konradi, Cara Lichty, Charlies Liu, Ava Loftus, Elliot Lovitt, Ellison Mattocks, Madeline Mayer, Gabrielle McClintick, Addison Page, Abby Pickens, Ford Prestidge, Alex Ramirez, Ben Rochon, Brooks Searcy, Barrow Solomon, Slayon Strey, Shivani Swaminathan, Stephen Swann, Charlotte Tomlin, Jack Venable, and Michelle Zhang.
The induction ceremony took place in All Saints Chapel and was celebrated by parents of the inductees and the freshman, sophomore, and remainder of the junior class.
