Yesterday, 29 nonprofit organizations gathered in the Auxiliary Gym for ESD’s annual Volunteer Fair.
This annual event allows students in grades 8-11 to get familiar with Dallas-area nonprofit organizations. Upper school students have the opportunity to find out about potential summer service opportunities, year-round opportunities, as well as Teen Boards, while middle school students participated in a scavenger hunt in which they visited each nonprofit's table in order to complete the challenge and learn more about the organizations. Understanding the available opportunities and needs of organizations in our area can better assist our students in their journey of upholding our ongoing commitment to community service learning.
