ESD will have an 11;00 a.m. start today, Friday, February 3, 2023. Campus will be open for student drop off at 10:30 a.m. Most after school activities will occur as scheduled. You will be notified if there is a change of schedule for you or your child.
Please exercise caution when traveling to school. We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we maneuvered through this past week and look forward to returning to school and normal activities.

Unfortunately, the refreeze on roadways overnight has created hazardous travel conditions once again. For now, our reopening delay has been moved to 10:00 a.m. - classes in all divisions will begin at 10:00 a.m. Campus will open for student drop off at 9:30 a.m.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will send another communication to confirm or change our reopening plan by 7:30 a.m.

We look forward to seeing our faculty, staff, and students on campus tomorrow, Friday, February 3, 2023. Classes in all three divisions (Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools) will begin at 9:00 a.m. Campus will open for student drop off at 8:30 a.m. Before school activities and breakfast service are canceled. All other activities will take place as scheduled.
We are grateful to our facilities and security teams, who worked throughout the afternoon in preparation to reopen campus.

As road conditions continue to be hazardous, ESD will remain closed through Thursday, February 2, 2023. All of Thursday’s classes and activities are canceled.
We hope and anticipate classes and school-related activities will resume on Friday, February 3, 2023. Please look for another email tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Due to ongoing inclement weather, ESD's campus will remain closed through at least Wednesday, February 1, 2023. All of Wednesday’s classes and activities are canceled.

Due to icy road conditions to the north and west of Dallas and the significant threat of those conditions hitting Dallas early this afternoon, all grade levels will be dismissed early. All after school practices, activities, Kids On Campus, and ESD Plus programs are canceled as well. Campus will remain open and students supervised until 1:30 p.m.
Please note the division specific dismissal/pickup schedule:
- Lower School - 12:15 p.m. - Pick up on Eagle Family Way (south side of campus)
- Middle School - 12:10 p.m. Pick up on Merrell Road side of campus
- Upper School - 12:10 p.m. Pick up on Merrell Road side of campus
- Middle and upper school students with siblings in lower school will be connected with their younger sibling and dismissed on Eagle Family Way, in lower school carpool.
- Upper school students with siblings in middle school will be connected with their younger sibling and dismissed on Merrell Road, in middle school carpool.
- Middle and upper school students with no younger siblings will be picked up on Merrell Road.
- Upper school student drivers may drive their younger siblings home.
We will continue to monitor the weather and communicate with you regarding school tomorrow as soon as a decision is made.
