Artist: First Graders

About the work: The first graders' sunflowers were inspired by Vincent van Gogh. Students sketched their sunflowers on a plain piece of paper to create a rough draft. Then they transferred their drawings onto black paper and outlined their sunflower with glue after it dried. To add perspective, students blended chalk pastels on their layers of petals.
