What was the inspiration for the work(s)? 

The Bamileke tribal mask found in Cameroon inspired his elephant spirit mask, and his mask is cast from a human face form and altered to resemble an elephant. He used paper, plaster, and paper clay to form the mask, and he decided on vibrant color patterns to complete the look. Chaz enjoys the challenges presented in three-dimensional design.
