What was your inspiration for the work(s)? Having spent a lot of time in the darkroom with film/black&white pictures my sophomore year, I made the transition to digital my junior year. I have become very comfortable with new lighting techniques, and I wanted to focus on a digital process for my AP photo concentration. I am an avid reader, and making books and characters that I love come to life is a dream I've always had. I decided to take on the challenge of making this dream a reality through my photography. The pictures I submitted are inspired by Tom Sawyer in "Great Expectations," and Pip and Estella from "Beauty and the Beast."
About the Artist: Virginia is also heavily involved in the performing arts as well!
