About Boys Basketball (Winter Season)

How many years have you been coaching at ESD? Please list any other important information about your coaching/collegiate career.
This is the start of my 20th year or season at ESD. Prior to joining ESD, I served as the assistant basketball coach at The Kincaid School. In addition, I served as Camp Director for six years at the Kobe Bryant Academy, as well as Director of Overnight Youth Camps for the Dallas Mavericks (2016-current). I also serve on the Dallas Mavs Youth Sports Coaches Board, as well as various AAU organizations in Houston and Dallas.

Some of my more notable accomplishments were as a four-year letterman at Texas A&M University where I was named All-Southwest Conference as a freshman and earned the GT Academic Award my sophomore year. My brother and I were the first African American siblings to start, play together, and have a productive four-year career (three of which were played together). I played professionally in Perth, Australia for two seasons (1997-1998), earning team MVP. I also played with Athletes in Action from 1996-1997. I celebrated my 300th coaching win during the 2019-2020 season, and ESD amassed three consecutive SPC Championships from 2008-2010. I have guided 14 players to collegiate basketball careers, and three players have played at the professional level.
