Athletic Fields, Track, and Weight Room Summer Use Policy

Current ESD students in grades 9 through 12 may utilize approved facilities without a parent or guardian present, with the understanding that all school rules and the code of conduct still apply. 

Current ESD students in grades Beginner through 8 may utilize approved facilities only when accompanied by a parent or guardian. All school rules and the code of conduct still apply.

Alumni who are currently enrolled in a college may utilize the stadium turf/track and Troutt Fields in the same manner as current students. Any use of the weight room or interior facilities must be coordinated through the weight room staff and may only occur during the posted alumni use hours handled by the strength and conditioning staff. 

Weekdays: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m. 

With the exception of holidays, the fields are generally available for use between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily. Specific fields available on Monday through Friday are dependent on camps that are in session. When a field is being utilized by a camp, it is off limits. The areas behind the netting of each end zone may be used as long as all equipment and activity takes place behind the netting.

Weekends: Saturdays and Sundays, hours of use noted below.

TIMES

1. Students must remain in the approved areas and may not enter other buildings or areas.  
2. No school-owned equipment will be provided. 
3. Students using the facilities may use the stadium restrooms and water fountains.  
4. The use of facilities during these times does not constitute a field rental and does not give the user access to the entire area. 
5. Gymnasiums, locker rooms, and the weight room are not included in the use area (see specific weight room hours in tab above). 
6. Changes in school events or rentals will modify the schedule. 
7. Inclement weather and safety policies are in effect, and users could be asked to vacate the fields at any time during the published hours. 
8. Students and alumni will be under the supervision of an ESD employee during published times, and the supervising employee, in conjunction with security and/or administration, has final authority over any disputes and may dismiss any user from the facility at any time. 
9. No music, loudspeakers, noisemakers, lighting devices, food items, or decorations are permitted on the turf area.
