Pass It On Scholarship Opportunity
This is a financial award for new students entering ninth grade. The scholarship is based on a combination of outstanding character and some basis of demonstrated financial need to help our middle-income families bridge the gap (even if you do not plan on applying for tuition assistance). A $15,000 scholarship is awarded annually to up to six new ninth-grade students provided the student upholds the Code of Conduct, by demonstrating honor, respect, and integrity. These scholarships are four-year awards.
This scholarship is based on a treasured ESD tradition, Pass It On, which is a yearly ceremony where the graduating seniors pass the light of ESD along to the rising freshmen. For this scholarship opportunity, we mobilize our alumni to "pass it on" to incoming freshmen by helping to select the scholarship recipients.
The Admission Committee looks for students with the following characteristics:
- Minimum grade of 85 in all classes
- Behavior consistent with ESD's Code of Conduct
- History of active involvement in school life
- Enthusiasm for the ESD Community

2. You will need to submit a copy of your 2021 and 2022 IRS Form 1040 by February 15, 2023 (if 2022 is unavailable, you will need to submit 2021 along with 2022 W2 forms). 3. The Pass It On Alumni Scholarship Committee will notify finalists on February 20, 2023. Finalists will be required to schedule an interview with the alumni panel (interview dates and times TBD). Scholarship recipients will be notified along with admission decisions on March 10, 2023.
