Upper School Classical and Modern Languages

Aiming to expose students to the classical and modern languages in the liberal arts tradition of a college preparatory school, the programs in the department are directed towards language learning and acquisition skills and the observation and appreciation of cultures. Students at all levels practice communication skills through authentic media, including regular use of a language lab. Our students learn how other languages work and see how English is tied into a universal linguistic and cultural phenomenon.
