Over 100 students from The Episcopal School of Dallas attended the 50th Annual Independent Schools Association of the Southwest Arts Festival at Casady School this past weekend.
The festival, which has grown to be the nation’s premiere annual regional arts festival among independent schools, allows participants to share their passion for the performing and fine arts with other like-minded individuals. Students from 30 ISAS schools attend the annual event that has come to be known as a celebration of creativity and bonding with other ISAS members.
In addition to sharing ideas, students also have the opportunity to perform and showcase their work, as well as receive critiques from professionals and peers. ESD students in all disciplines of fine arts were able to show off their skills for their fellow festival-goers. Both the Upper School choir and the cast of Lucky Stiff performed over the weekend and many films were featured by ESD film students, with pieces from ceramics, sculpture, studio art, and photography students also on display for their peers.
The festival ended with a fireworks show to celebrate 50 years of ingenuity and creativity among the ISAS network. What a weekend. Click here to see more photos from this weekend’s festivities! (Password can be found in the Parent Portal under the SmugMug tab.)
