All three performances of "Lucky Stiff" will feature furry friends from The Street Dog Project, a local rescue organization. The Fine Arts Network (FAN) will be sponsoring a pet supply donation drive for the organization and all featured dogs are currently up for adoption! You may bring donations of dog food, leashes, collars, dog beds, dog toys, etc to any of the performances. You may also bring donations to morning carpool on Friday, February 24 (from 7:15-8:15 a.m.) at both the Lower School and Upper School campuses. FAN members and "Lucky Stiff" cast members will be on hand to collect donations from your car during carpool.
Thank you for your support of the ESD theatre department and the stray dogs of Dallas! You can read more about The Street Dog Project organization below.
About The Street Dog Project
“The Street Dog Project is comprised of a small group of volunteers who are passionate about saving street dogs. We have a lot of experience capturing elusive street dogs and helping them adjust to life in a loving home. The dogs are taken to the vet upon rescue so they can be examined, dewormed, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if positive) and attend to any other medical needs. Life on the streets is tough, so a lot of the dogs we take in have beyond basic medical needs. Heartworm, mange, leg, and eye injuries are some of the most common medical conditions we encounter. We are an all-volunteer organization and rely on donations to save lives.”
